Fields

project_path: Option<String>

Optional project root for this call. Defaults to the active MCP project.

worktree: Option<String>

Optional registered worktree alias for this call. Mutually exclusive with project_path.

path: Option<String>

Repository root path. Defaults to the configured or indexed project root.

nearest_project: Option<bool>

Opt in to nearest indexed ProjectAtlas project discovery for absolute paths.

max_bytes: Option<u64>

Maximum file size to parse for symbols.

max_workers: Option<usize>

Maximum parser worker threads.

timeout_seconds: Option<u64>

Cooperative indexing-work budget in seconds (30-minute default and ceiling). Larger representable budgets are clamped; unrepresentable deadlines fail closed. Covers root/config/store setup after work-control creation, traversal, source hashing, parsing and publication checkpoints. Earlier startup/target selection is outside this budget.

text_index_max_bytes: Option<u64>

Maximum UTF-8 file size persisted into SQLite text search.

background: Option<bool>

Run indexing in the bounded session task registry and return immediately.
