Validate one existing project binding without creating, migrating, or repairing it.

A fresh or absent database is admitted for a later initializer. Existing current databases use their native identity, while supported predecessors use the same read-only native-equivalence proof as the storage writer. No SQLite write connection or WAL state is opened by this check.

Errors

Returns an error when the database is malformed, incompatible, missing an unambiguous predecessor binding, or belongs to another project root.
